I’m a research engineer at SURF’s High Performance Machine Learning Team, Amsterdam.  

I particularly specialize in applying weakly-supervised multi-modal methods to the biomedical domain by studying nascent deep learning methods. I have worked on projects pertitent to digital histopathology, structure biology and NLP.  

I think that current paradigm of deep learning has a clear structure that is widely applicable given that we know the proper context. Insight is often gained from seemingly unrelated perspectives.  

My main focus at SURF is to serve the open-source Dutch research community and make large scale machine learning more accessible.
